The Nikki Jones Band: Award Winning Blues Musician’s Announce New CD.

Lightning In a Bottle records artists,
The Nikki Jones Band, have been playing together for almost a decade. Based out of Salem, Oregon, husband and wife, Brandon and Nikki teamed up with Kevin Kelly (Bass) and Loren Christian (drums), about three years ago. With a deep love of the blues and singing since the age of ten, Nikki leads the band
with her incredible powerhouse voice. The band has a rooted history in friendship and music, as
well as generational knowledge passed down from Nikki’s father, musician Dean Jones.
The band’s newest CD with their current line up is titled, “Live at Wavelength Studio” with a 2025 release date. All material was live, raw and uncut, recording the 4 piece band, all while creating live music videos. Leading up to the release, they practiced behind the scenes every week and then picked their favorite songs. It is available via their website or through email.
Prior to this release, the band released “Battle Me Up” in 2023. After four days of straight recording, A 12 song CD with a 9 piece band was produced and included a dull horn section, piano and 3 guitar players with absolutely incredible harmonies. It took three years to create the album and it doesn’t disappoint!
In 2025, the Nikki Jones Band
made it to the semi finals of the international blues challenge
where they competed against 24 international bands. They then
went on to host a pro jam at Blues
City Cafe on Beale Street and
then joined a jam in Mississippi,
at the Ham Bone Art Gallery.
The band then returned home to
be nominated for 5 Muddy
Awards with the Cascade Blues Association and won Best New
Act of 2026 after opening the ceremony with Tony TC Coleman
on drums (BB King’s drummer!).
