Seattle based blues rock trio Polly O’Keary and the Rhythm Method has signed with Lightning In A Bottle Records. Currently in pre production, their next yet to be titled album is coming together quickly. Tracking is scheduled to begin next April to coincide with the completion of Polly’s PhD degree, with an estimated release date of mid 2024 on LIABR. Discussions have also begun about re-releasing the bands 2023 chart popping album “50” through the LIABR label, and adding it to the LIABR publishing catalog. And yes, we will be calling her Dr O’Keary after April.
Polly O’Keary and the Rhythm Method consists of Polly O’Keary fronting on bass and vocals, her husband Tommy Cook on drums, and guitarist Dave Miller rounding out the trio. Since their conception in 2007, the band has done 10 national tours, independently released four critically acclaimed albums; been nominated for three Independent Blues Music awards including Band of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year; won Blues Band of the Year from the LA Music Critic; been a top five finalist in the International Blues Challenge Best Self-Produced CD competition; had a #1 single on contemporary blues radio and a #4 album; charted on Living Blues, and received a total of 26 awards from the Washington Blues Society and the Inland Empire Blues Society, including Best Songwriter, Best Blues Guitar, Best Blues Drummer, Best Blues Vocalist, and Best Blues Bass, among others. Their pedigree is proven and undeniable.
